Dear Ada,

How are you, my dear friend? I hope that you and your family are in good health. I am writing to share with you the exciting experience of my journey to a new place I visited for the first time last weekend. It was both thrilling and memorable, and I thought you would enjoy reading about it.

I traveled to Calabar with my parents to attend a cultural exhibition. I had never been to the city before, so I was filled with anticipation and curiosity. We left early in the morning, and the journey itself was interesting. As we drove through different towns, I observed the landscapes, people, and local markets. The scenery was breathtaking, with green hills, rivers, and colourful houses along the way.

Upon arriving in Calabar, I was amazed by the cleanliness and organization of the city. We checked into a hotel where the staff welcomed us warmly. After settling in, we proceeded to the cultural exhibition, which was held in a large open field decorated with banners and traditional arts. I saw various cultural performances, including dances, masquerades, and musical displays that were both entertaining and educational.

The highlight of my visit was experiencing local foods and crafts. I tasted delicacies like Afang soup, Edikang Ikong, and local snacks that I had never tried before. I also bought a few handmade souvenirs for my friends and family. The artisans explained their craft and allowed visitors to try making some of the items, which was very engaging.

During the trip, I also visited the Calabar Museum, where I learned about the history and traditions of the people. Seeing old artifacts, sculptures, and photographs gave me a deeper understanding of the culture and heritage of the region. I even took photographs to remember every moment of the visit.

The journey back home was filled with discussions about the experiences and lessons we had gathered. I felt grateful for the opportunity to travel, learn, and experience something completely new. This trip also inspired me to explore more places and cultures in the future.

Ada, I wish you could have joined me on this journey. It was truly an adventure that I will never forget. I hope to share more experiences with you in the future.

Yours sincerely,
Chinedu
