The Chairman,
Akobo Multipurpose Cooperative Society,
Ibadan, Oyo State.
Dear Sir,
REQUEST FOR THE ISSUANCE OF MY DIVIDEND
I humbly write to request the issuance of my annual dividend as a registered and active member of the Akobo Multipurpose Cooperative Society.
Sir, you will recall that at the last Annual General Meeting of the society held on 15th August, 2025, it was announced that all members would receive their dividends before the end of the month, following the declaration of profits for the year. While many members have already received their payments, I am yet to receive mine despite fulfilling all necessary obligations as a cooperative member.
As a member in good standing, I have regularly contributed to the cooperative’s monthly savings scheme and have participated actively in its programmes. I have also repaid loans taken in the past without default, which I believe further qualifies me to enjoy the benefits of membership without delay. Unfortunately, the delay in receiving my dividend has caused me inconvenience, as I had already made plans to use part of the money to settle my children’s school fees and meet other pressing financial responsibilities.
I understand that administrative processes sometimes take time. However, I wish to kindly appeal that my case be reviewed urgently so that I can access the dividend that is rightfully due to me. If there are additional documents or steps required from my end to facilitate the release, I would be glad to provide them promptly.
Furthermore, I wish to suggest that in future, the society adopts a more structured payment plan to ensure that all members receive their dividends at the same time, thereby avoiding unnecessary delays and complaints. The adoption of digital banking channels could also make the payment process more seamless and transparent.
Sir, I remain grateful for the numerous benefits that the cooperative has provided its members over the years, including access to soft loans, business support, and savings opportunities. I am confident that my request will receive your favourable attention, as the cooperative has always been known for fairness and promptness in handling members’ welfare.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
Yours faithfully,
(Signature)
