The Director,
Federal Civil Service Commission,
Abuja, F.C.T.
Dear Sir,
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ON JOB VACANCIES
I respectfully write to seek information on the availability of job vacancies in your esteemed organization. I am a young graduate of Public Administration from the University of Benin, and I am very keen to serve my country through employment in the Federal Civil Service.
Since my graduation, I have been actively searching for suitable opportunities where I can apply my knowledge and skills. However, access to reliable information on current job openings has been quite difficult, as most announcements do not reach people in time, especially those living outside the Federal Capital Territory. It is for this reason that I decided to write directly to your office to request accurate and up-to-date information.
Sir, I would be grateful if you could kindly provide details on the following:
- Whether there are existing or upcoming vacancies for graduates in the Public Administration or related fields.
- The requirements and qualifications needed for application.
- The official process for submitting applications, including deadlines.
- Any examinations, interviews, or tests that applicants are expected to undergo.
- Opportunities for career advancement within the Commission.
Having completed my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme successfully, I possess the required certificates and I am prepared to undergo any assessment process deemed necessary. In addition, I am computer-literate and have practical experience in record management, customer service, and report writing, which I believe would add value to your agency if I am eventually employed.
I also wish to suggest that the Commission could consider expanding its channels of communication by regularly publishing job updates on its official website and social media platforms. This will enable young graduates across the country to have equal access to information, thereby reducing the challenges of misinformation and fraud associated with fake job adverts.
Sir, I am deeply interested in pursuing a career within your agency because I believe in the vision of the Federal Civil Service to drive national development through efficient public service delivery. If given the opportunity, I promise to uphold integrity, diligence, and professionalism in the discharge of my duties.
I look forward to receiving a favorable response to this request. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
Yours faithfully,
(Signature)
Emmanuel Okoro
